PRESIDENT'S UPDATE, VOL 3, #1

Dear NAPHA Members:

There is a lot of information that I wish to share with you and because of the large amount of information I will be sending this in two installments.  I will focus this email newsletter on information related to our various events that will be coming up this year. 

My second email will cover all of our financial information and explain how the Board is prepared to handle the finances over the next year.  Because there will be several attachments in the second email we need the time to ensure that each of these documents provides you with the accurate information that you need.

ANNUAL MEETING

We will be hosting an Annual Meeting at the South Point Hotel on March 12 and 13, 2010.  There is a committee of members from the RAC working with me to work through all the details of this two day meeting. Both the Board and the Regional Advisory Council (RAC) will be holding meetings during the weekend and there will be other presentations that should be very informative for our members.  Click Here for Registration Form and Information.

There will be a presentations from:

• The United States Equine Federation to discuss the merits of NAPHA becoming a full fledged member;
• Arlynda Castro will show us all how to use Stud Book on Line
• There will be a judges Accreditation Seminar
• A panel of judges and trainers will share answer all your questions regarding breeding, training and showing.

In arranging this meeting we planned to have 47 people at the meeting.  It is very important when you make your reservation that you use the group code that is written on the attached flier.

U.S. NATIONAL SHOW

NAPHA will host the U.S. National Show this year at the South Point Hotel in Las Vegas, October 1 – October 3.  This will be the first time the show has left Ft. Worth in six years.  We are very excited about this new venue.  The show is an important part of the revenue base for NAPHA.  It is also important to our show members who spend the year working through the regional system of shows to gather points for National Awards.  The U.S. National Show is the only triple-pointed Show in the U.S. 

We have begun to form committees to work on the show and if you would like to volunteer, we would be glad to have your help.
